I bought this book on a whim from a Garden Centre to read with my eldest son to cultivate our shared love of Star Wars what a good choice It s no exaggeration to say this book is an absolute thing of beauty The story is clever they have extrapolated just the parts of the original trilogy that relate to Luke Skywalker and built them into a single story As a result it s perfect for bedtime reading as each light sabre fight or X Wing dogfight feels like a story in it s own right The real strength though are the beautiful illustrations many take a slightly different slant on the characters in the original films but nearly all of them are fantastically realised You d be happy to frame many of them and put them on your wall This is the second time round my 5 year old and I have read this I m sure it won t be the last
