The D Case or The Truth About The Mystery Of Edwin Drood Free download Ú PDF, eBook or Kindle ePUB free Carlo Fruttero Ü 5 Free download Read The D Case or The Truth About The Mystery Of Edwin Drood Rship the detective genre and their knowledge of Rome to produce a hilario It s hard to resist a mystery The human brain sees gaps and wants to fill them sees ragged edges and wants to weave them togetherWe read The Mystery of Edwin Drood the unfinished story that Charles Dickens was working on up til nearly the very moment that he died and it seems obvious where it s trending We know from letters he wrote and things he said to friends or family generally what his intentions were we have his cast of characters we have a clearly outlined set of clues we have half of the story But what we don t have is the ending We never will have it Dickens knew whodunit but he hadn t told anyone else So the uestion will for all time remain who killed Edwin Drood Was Dickens really attempting a sensational twist in terms of the murderer s identity or simply in how the murderer was revealed Was Edwin Drood even really murdered No body had been discovered by the end of the last installment Drood was released as a serial although clues and insinuations had been strewn about with a generous hand Perhaps for reasons of his own and he did have clearly delineated reasons he d simply fled the sceneDickens gave us an obvious choice of villain but the temptation is to look about for another and there are other candidates Surely SO obvious a villain was beneath him But regardless the story telling is so good the humor so dead on the characters so real and likeable My favorite is a secondary character one of the most awful creatures I ve ever read the little baby devil who haunts the streets and stones people houses animals Only a master story teller could have invented a creature so fascinatingly repellently enjoyable Or there s the minor canon who s unreservedly good and yet not boring his mother described aptly and briefly as a china shepherdess Rosebud who despite being the beautiful na ve young heroine remains likeable a pretty thankless and impossible task for a novelist as a ruleThis book adopts the original and enjoyable conceit of a convention of fictional detectives Poirot Holmes Gideon Fell Nero Wolfe and a host of old favorite who come together to solve the mystery Chapters of Drood are interspersed with discussions between the detectives with the book culminating in a conclusion not only regarding who the murderer is or could be but also regarding a mystery that never occurred to anyone to wonder aboutThe only thing the ONLY thing I don t like about this book is the characterization of Marlowe and Archer They contribute nothing except an unrelenting one note macho womanizing which isn t entirely foreign to them but certainly isn t ALL that they are I hated that But that aside this book is surely the best way to experience the eternal mystery of who murdered Edwin Drood
